What requirements does the welding robot have for the workpiece?

What requirements does the welding robot have for the workpiece: the overall manufacturing dimensional accuracy, the assembly gap of fillet welds, the root gap of butt welds, the welding allowance of welds, etc.

1. The robot doesn't have particularly high requirements for the overall dimensional accuracy. Nowadays, welding robots all have deviation sensing and arc tracking functions during the welding process, so a certain degree of correction can be made.

2. The assembly gap of fillet welds must be controlled. Otherwise, it is easy to burn through. At the places with gaps, pre - manual backing before welding by the robot can effectively reduce the occurrence of burn - through.

3. The root gap of butt welds should be stable and uniform. Nowadays, welding robots generally have a gap sensing function and can compensate the parameters according to the actual root gap of the weld within a certain range. However, if the fluctuation is too large and the gap is too uneven, the weld fusion and weld formation quality will also be very unstable.

4. The welding allowance of the weld needs to be controlled. For example, if the requirement for the fillet weld is 10, but the actual welding allowance at the plate edge is only 8, undercutting will definitely occur.
